
The PlayStation 2 and Microsoft Windows versions require the player to complete all five leagues (Beginner, Advanced, Expert, Extreme and Bonus) to beat the game. The game is split two game modes, both supporting up to four players: on-foot racing and arena-based battles. A spin-off of the Rayman series, the game retains a number of elements that previously appeared in Rayman 2: The Great Escape, such as similar controls, gameplay and level design. Yummy! The orange is a delectable fruit, but at least three more times, Rayman Origins is intentionally or unintentionally misspelled as Rayman Oranges. In an article titled Rayman Origins is currently free on PC, the website Eurogamer just may say it the best, reading, “In its finest moments, Rayman Oranges goes toe-to-toe with the 2D platform game greats,” referring to what Simon Parker (a Eurogamer contributor) wrote in his 2011 review.
